OUR RESIDENT TAILOR – ZÉ AGUAS
Zé Aguas has been our Coral Lodge resident tailor since 2014 and is a very respected member of our Coral Lodge Family.
His experience in sewing started at the young age of 16 years old in Maputo, where he learned to sew with his cousin. Having over 40 years of experience in the industry has made Zé adept at creating a great variety of items.
He currently uses a traditional Singer sewing machine at Coral Lodge or sews by hand.
Guests who visit Coral Lodge have the opportunity to have a handmade garment made by Zé, with a choice of traditional Capulana fabrics to choose from.
Many have requested for other items such as tablecloths or serviettes to be made as gifts for them to take home, which is possible too.
(Please note, on occasion, Zé may be on his well-deserved days off, and not at the lodge during your visit. We request our guests kind understanding when he is absent and unable to create a garment.)
